Everything about our programmes, trading rules, payouts and eligibility, in one place.

01

Getting started

What is TakeFunded?+

TakeFunded is a simulated performance evaluation firm. We give traders access to simulated accounts and measure their performance against a published set of rules. Traders who meet the objectives receive a simulated funded account and earn a Reward calculated by reference to the simulated result they produce.

Is the money real?+

No. Every account is simulated at every stage, including funded accounts. You are not trading real capital and you never own the "funds" displayed on your account. Payouts are a reward for performance, not a withdrawal of your own money.

Do I risk my own money?+

Only the evaluation fee. You cannot lose more than what you paid, and you are never liable for losses made on a simulated account.

How does it work?+

1. Choose a programme and an account size. 2. Pass the evaluation by reaching the performance target without breaching the rules. 3. Receive a simulated funded account. 4. Request your first payout 14 days after your first trade.

Am I employed by TakeFunded?+

No. There is no employment relationship between you and TakeFunded at any stage. Participation is governed by the evaluation agreement.

Can I try before I buy?+

Yes. We offer a free 14-day demo account on Match-Trader so you can test the platform and the conditions. The demo does not progress through phases and does not lead to a payout.

02

Programmes and evaluation

Which programmes do you offer?+

Two: a 2-Step evaluation and a 1-Step evaluation. Both are available in account sizes from $10,000 to $100,000.

What are the targets and limits?+

2-Step: Phase 1 performance target 10%, Phase 2 performance target 5%, daily loss limit 5%, maximum loss 10%, static drawdown. 1-Step: performance target 10%, daily loss limit 3%, maximum loss 6%, trailing drawdown.

What does it cost?+

$10,000: 2-Step $99, 1-Step $99. $25,000: 2-Step $199, 1-Step $211. $50,000: 2-Step $299, 1-Step $313. $100,000: 2-Step $549, 1-Step $540.

Is there a time limit?+

No. Take as long as you need to pass a phase.

What counts as a trading day?+

A day counts towards the minimum only if it produced a simulated result of at least 0.5%, measured against your balance at the start of that day, by server time. A day where you traded and made 0.2%, or ended negative, does not count. You need three trading days in each phase, and three trading days on the funded account before your first Reward. No minimum applies to later Rewards.

What is the difference between static and trailing drawdown?+

Static means the maximum loss level is fixed from the start and never moves. On a $100,000 2-Step account, your floor is $90,000 and it stays there regardless of how far the account moves up. Trailing means the level follows your highest equity, including open positions, at a 6% distance and never moves back down. If your $100,000 1-Step account reaches $105,000, your floor moves to $99,000 and stays there even if the account falls back. The floor does not lock at the starting balance: after a run-up, the account can be closed above $100,000.

When do daily limits reset?+

At 00:00 server time, every day. The server time zone is shown in your dashboard.

What currency are accounts in?+

All accounts are denominated in USD.

What can I trade?+

Forex, metals, indices and crypto. Leverage: Forex 1:100, Metals 1:30, Indices 1:50, Crypto 1:10.

Do you offer a scaling programme?+

There is no automatic scaling. Once a quarter we review funded accounts. Where the account had no breach during the quarter, at least four Rewards were requested and paid on it, and it is net positive over the quarter, we may increase the account size to 125%, then 150%, then 200% of the size you purchased. Loss limits and Reward caps are recalculated on the new size; your reward share does not change. An increase is our decision, not an entitlement — meeting the conditions does not guarantee one. Total allocation stays capped at $200,000.

What add-ons are available?+

Two: 90/10 reward share, which raises your share from 80% to 90%, for +10% of the account price. Weekly Rewards, which reduces the interval from 14 to 7 days, for +10% of the account price. We do not sell add-ons that relax the trading rules. There is no option to buy extra drawdown, and no option to buy permission to trade through news or hold over the weekend on a funded account. The rules are the same for everyone.

How do I pay?+

By card or crypto.

What happens if I fail?+

You can retake the evaluation at a discount, offered at our discretion and based on the phase where the account failed: Phase 1 — 10%, Phase 2 — 15%, Funded — 20%.

Can I get a refund?+

Yes. If you have not opened a single trade within 14 days of purchase, you receive a full refund. The right to withdraw lapses the moment you open your first trade.

What happens when I pass?+

We check that your balance, with all positions closed, is at or above the account size plus the target, review the account against the rules and issue your simulated funded account within 48 hours. You'll receive new login details by email. Passing is confirmed in your dashboard, where you can also download a certificate.

Can you refuse me a funded account after I pass?+

Yes, in defined cases: if you breached the rules during the evaluation, if verification is not complete, or if the account shows one of the following — three or more technical breaches; more than half of a phase's result made by trades opened or closed within 30 minutes of a high-impact news release; a single trade producing more than half of the phase target. We may also decline where the trading pattern shows exposure-taking rather than trading skill. If we decline, the fee you paid for that account is refunded in full, and you can appeal the decision.

Can I run several challenges at once?+

Yes, subject to the allocation cap. Across all your funded accounts, total capital cannot exceed $200,000. You can keep buying challenges above that, but no new funded account is issued until capacity frees up. A failed or closed account releases its capacity immediately.

03

Trading rules

How much can I risk on a single trade?+

No more than 2% of your account balance on any one open position. Risk is measured as the distance between your entry price and your stop-loss, multiplied by your volume, at the entry price — spread, commission, swap and slippage are not included. It is checked when you open the position and again every time you move the stop-loss. Moving the stop so that the risk goes above 2% is a breach at that moment; closing part of the position reduces its risk proportionally. On a $100,000 account, 2% is $2,000. If your stop-loss is 100 pips away on EURUSD, one standard lot puts $1,000 at risk — that is 1%. Two lots would be $2,000, which is exactly at the limit.

How much can I risk in total?+

No more than 3% across all open positions at once. Three positions at 1% each is fine. A fourth position, however small, takes you over the limit.

Are limits counted per account or per trader?+

Per trader, across every account you hold. If you have four accounts, the 2% and 3% limits apply to the combined risk on all of them, not to each account separately.

Do I have to use a stop-loss?+

Yes. Every position must have a stop-loss attached within 3 minutes of opening it. A position held longer than that without a stop-loss is a rule violation on its own.

How many positions can I have open?+

A maximum of 5 open market positions at any one time, regardless of how small the risk on them is. Pending orders do not count.

What happens if I break a risk rule?+

The first time, the trade is voided: any profit on it is removed from your results, any loss stays, and your account continues. Where a risk limit was exceeded, the position is closed and you receive a written warning by e-mail. A second breach of the 2% or 3% risk limit on the same account closes it and voids all results on it. Other technical breaches — too many positions, no stop-loss, the 60-second rule, the news window, weekend holding on a funded account — void the trade the same way each time; a repeated pattern may be escalated.

What is the difference between a technical and a serious breach?+

A technical breach is a trading-rule error: the trade is voided — profit removed, loss kept — and the account continues. A serious breach — hedging across accounts, copy trading, wash trading, undeclared or unapproved automated systems, more than one profile, passing an account to someone else, or working around country restrictions — voids all results on the account, closes it and pays no Reward. We may close every account you hold.

Is there a minimum time between trades?+

Yes. A trade opened less than 60 seconds after the previous one, and a trade closed less than 60 seconds after it was opened, are treated as technical breaches: any profit on the trade is removed from your results, any loss stays. This is our high-frequency trading rule. It is not aimed at fast decisions — it is aimed at strategies that place dozens of trades a minute.

Can I trade around news?+

No. We publish our own calendar of high-impact releases in your dashboard, with the instruments affected by each. Opening or closing a position in an affected instrument is prohibited from 5 minutes before to 5 minutes after the release. This includes a stop-loss or take-profit that triggers inside the window and a pending order that fills inside it — all are treated as trades inside the window and voided: profit removed, loss kept. Placing or changing pending orders and widening a stop-loss inside the window are prohibited too. Positions opened before the window may stay open through it. Medium and low-impact events are not restricted.

Can I hold positions over the weekend?+

On evaluation accounts: yes. On funded accounts: no, on any instrument including crypto. All positions are closed automatically at a single time on Friday, by server time, shown in your dashboard. Plan your trades accordingly — a position closed automatically may be subject to slippage.

Can I hedge?+

No. Holding opposite positions on the same instrument is prohibited, whether on one account or across several of your accounts. Hedging across accounts is treated as a serious violation and results in the closure of all accounts you hold.

Can I mirror trades across my own accounts?+

Yes. Copying the same trade in the same direction across your own accounts is allowed. Bear in mind that risk is then counted in aggregate across those accounts, so the 3% total limit applies to the combined exposure.

Can I use Expert Advisors?+

Yes, once you have declared the advisor in your dashboard — its name and its author. Purchased, rented or publicly distributed systems and trade copiers are not permitted. We may ask for the source code at any time; if it is not supplied within seven days, the advisor is treated as unapproved and the account is closed.

What trading styles are prohibited?+

Tick scalping and latency arbitrage; Martingale and grid strategies; Wash trading; One-sided betting; Third-party copy trading and signal services; Group trading and account management by another person.

What if I get filled at an off-market price?+

We may cancel trades executed on erroneous quotes or feed spikes. If a platform or price-feed fault costs you the account, we correct the balance back to its state at the moment the position was opened and give you a free restart of your challenge.

04

Rewards

When can I request my first Reward?+

14 days after your first trade on the funded account — not from the day the account was created — and once you have three trading days on it. If you don't trade, the countdown doesn't start. After that, a Reward can be requested every 14 days.

Can I get paid more often?+

Yes. The weekly Rewards add-on reduces the interval to 7 days, for +10% of the account price.

How much can I receive per Reward?+

There is a cap on every Reward, and it applies to the amount you receive, after the applicable share. First Reward: 5% of the account size. Every Reward after: 8% of the account size. In money: $10,000 account — first $500, later $800. $25,000 — first $1,250, later $2,000. $50,000 — first $2,500, later $4,000. $100,000 — first $5,000, later $8,000.

What if my result is above the cap?+

Nothing is lost. The simulated result above the cap stays on your account and can be included in your next Reward, subject to the same limit. The cap controls how fast the result is released, not how much you are entitled to.

What is the reward share?+

80/20 in your favour by default — you keep 80% of the simulated result taken into account for your Reward. You can upgrade to 90/10 for +10% of the account price. You can also earn the upgrade: consistent traders are reviewed for a higher share.

How long does processing take?+

Your request is reviewed within 24 hours. Once approved, it is paid within 48 to 96 hours. You'll see the status in your dashboard at every stage, and a rejection always comes with a reason.

How am I paid?+

Rewards are paid by crypto or through Rise.

Are there any fees?+

We don't charge a fee of our own. The payment provider's own fee is deducted from the amount, and it varies by method.

Do I get my evaluation fee back?+

Yes. The amount you actually paid for the challenge, net of any discount or promo code, is refunded with your third Reward as a separate line.

Why was my Reward put on hold?+

Two possible reasons. Verification: if your KYC is incomplete or the name on your payment method doesn't match your identity documents, the Reward is frozen until it is resolved. Your simulated result is not voided. If it stays unresolved for 90 days, the account is closed and no Reward is paid. Investigation: if we're reviewing a suspected rule breach, the Reward may be held for up to 30 days. You will be notified in writing.

05

Verification and eligibility

Who can trade with TakeFunded?+

Anyone aged 18 or over who is not connected to a restricted jurisdiction. We assess this on four grounds, not just one: your citizenship, your country of residence, your place of business, and where you are tax resident. Being outside a restricted country on one of these while connected to it on another does not make you eligible.

Do you accept traders from the United States?+

No. We do not accept US citizens, US residents or US tax persons at any stage — registration, purchase or payout. This is not a geo-block that can be worked around with a VPN. You declare your status at registration and it is checked against your identity documents at verification. If a US connection is discovered after purchase, the account is closed.

Do you accept traders from Russia or Belarus?+

No. We do not work with citizens or residents of the Russian Federation or Belarus.

Which countries are restricted?+

We cannot provide our services where any of the following apply. By our own policy: United States, Russian Federation, Belarus. Sanctioned jurisdictions: North Korea, Iran, Syria, Cuba, Crimea and the occupied territories of Ukraine. High-risk jurisdictions: Afghanistan, Burundi, Central African Republic, Congo, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Eritrea, Guinea, Guinea-Bissau, Iraq, Laos, Liberia, Libya, Mali, Myanmar (Burma), Nicaragua, Somalia, South Sudan, Sudan, Vanuatu, Venezuela, Yemen. Individuals listed by OFAC, the European Union or the United Nations, regardless of where they live. This list can change as sanctions and FATF designations are updated. The current version is always shown at checkout before you pay, and it is your responsibility to check it before purchasing.

What if I move to a restricted country?+

You must tell us. Continuing to trade after moving to a restricted jurisdiction is a breach of our terms, and payouts to a restricted country cannot be processed.

What happens if I register from a restricted country anyway?+

The account is closed and no payout is made. The evaluation fee is not refunded — providing false information at registration is a serious breach of our terms. We would rather you check the list before paying than find out at the payout stage.

When do I need to verify my identity?+

When you receive a funded account. You can complete the entire evaluation before verifying.

What documents do I need?+

A passport or national ID, plus proof of address issued within the last three months. Depending on the case, we may also ask for a liveness check and a name match against your payment method. Your payment method must be in your own name. Payouts to third-party accounts are not made under any circumstances.

Can I have more than one profile?+

No. One profile per person, strictly. Accounts cannot be transferred to anyone else.

06

Platforms and technical questions

Which platforms do you offer?+

Platform 5 and Match-Trader. You choose your platform at purchase.

How do I get my login details?+

By email, immediately after purchase. Check your spam folder if it hasn't arrived within a few minutes.

What server time do you use?+

All daily limits, resets and Friday closures run on server time. The server time zone and the current server time are shown in your dashboard.

What are your spreads and commissions?+

Spreads are floating and follow the underlying market. Commission is charged per lot on some instruments and varies by asset class. Exact conditions for each instrument are visible in the terminal before you open a position.

Are swaps charged on funded accounts?+

Yes. Positions held overnight are subject to the swap for that instrument, as shown in the platform before you open the position.

What happens if the platform goes down?+

If a platform or price-feed fault affects your account, we correct the balance back to its state at the moment the position was opened. A position that could not be closed because of the fault is zeroed out. If the fault cost you the account, you get a free restart of your challenge.

07

Your account

Can I pause my account?+

Yes, on request through support — for a holiday, illness or any other reason. Pauses longer than two months are reviewed individually.

What happens if I stop trading?+

A funded account with no trades for 30 days is closed, and any unpaid simulated result on that account is forfeited. We send a warning 7 days before closure, so you have time to act. A pause request does not stop this counter — you need to arrange the pause with support. On an evaluation account, 30 days without a trade moves the account to the archive. Nothing is lost — balance, result and trading days are kept — and you can reactivate it from your dashboard under the rules that were in force when you bought it.

What happens when I hit a loss limit?+

The account is closed immediately and marked as failed; open positions are closed. Reaching a limit is not a rule breach and has no further consequence, but it cannot be appealed in itself — only a calculation error or a technical fault can be. You can retake at a discount.

How do I appeal a decision?+

You can appeal any decision affecting your account: a recorded breach, a voided trade, a closed account, a declined funded account, or a rejected Reward. Write to support within 30 days, giving your account number and why you think the decision is wrong. Attach anything that helps — screenshots, platform statements. The 30 days run from whichever is later: the day we e-mailed you about the decision, or the day it first appeared in your dashboard. If you can show you only found out later, and for a reason outside your control, the clock starts then. Separately, if a decision about your account was reached automatically, you can ask for it to be reviewed by a person at any time. That right isn't limited by the 30-day window.

Who reviews my appeal?+

A person, not the system. Decisions on your account are taken automatically in the first instance, and you have the right to have one reviewed by a member of staff who did not take the original decision and who can see the underlying trading records. We respond within 30 days. If we need records from the platform provider, we tell you and give you a timescale.

What happens to my account while I appeal?+

It is preserved exactly as it was when the decision was taken. Nothing is deleted while an appeal is open, and a Reward request under appeal stays open rather than being treated as withdrawn. Preserving the account does not restore trading. Trading comes back only if the appeal succeeds.

What can the outcome be?+

An appeal can be upheld in full, upheld in part, or dismissed, and we give reasons in writing. If it is upheld, we apply whatever remedy fits: reinstating a voided trade and recalculating, restoring a closed account with the result recorded at closure, issuing a funded account that was declined, releasing a Reward that was refused, or a free restart of the programme where restoration is not possible. If it is dismissed, you can ask for a second-level review, but only on evidence that wasn't available the first time.

Where will you contact me?+

By email. That is the only channel we use for notices that carry legal weight — breaches, investigations, inactivity warnings, changes to the rules and decisions about your account. Every such decision also appears in your dashboard, with the date it was taken, so you can see it when you log in. We may post the same information in Discord and Telegram as well, but those are informational channels only. A message there is not a formal notice and does not start any deadline running.

What if I miss an email?+

Keep the address on your profile current and make sure our messages aren't filtered into spam. You can change the address in your dashboard at any time. If an email bounces, we send it again, and any deadline runs from the successful send rather than the failed one.

Can I delete my profile?+

Yes, once all your accounts are closed.

Will you publish my name if I get a payout?+

Only your nickname, unless you give us separate consent to use your full name.

What if I file a chargeback?+

Ask support for a refund first — where a refund is due, we pay it directly. A chargeback raised instead of using our appeals and complaints procedure results in termination of your account, cancellation of any pending Reward and refusal of future service.

Do the rules ever change?+

They can. Changes take effect 14 days after we notify you by e-mail. A change that makes the trading rules stricter applies only to accounts bought after it takes effect — accounts you already hold keep the rules that were in force when you bought them. Updates to the restricted-country list and changes required by law apply to everyone immediately.

08

Support

Do you have an affiliate programme?+

Yes, from day one. You earn a commission on every challenge purchased through your link. Terms are set out in a separate Affiliate Agreement, and you can apply from your dashboard.

How do I reach you?+

Discord, email, or the chat on our website.

When are you available?+

Our support team works two shifts covering the first and second half of the day, ending at 20:00 (EET). Messages sent outside those hours are answered at the start of the next shift.
