Trading rules · v1.0 · effective 1 Sep 2026

The limits are visible.

Loss limits, the news window, targets, payouts and account growth — with the exact number and a worked example on a $100,000 account. Risk limits and prohibited strategies are set out in the FAQ, section “Trading rules”.

01 · Parameters

All six numbers, per program.

$100K account 2-Step · Ph 1 2-Step · Ph 2 1-Step
Performance target
Daily loss limit
Maximum loss
Loss floor
Minimum trading days 3 3 3
Time limit None None None

Dollar values are for the selected account size; the daily loss limit is shown for a day that opens at the starting balance. Funded accounts keep the loss limits of their program with no profit target.

02 · Daily loss limit

5% of the day's opening balance on 2-Step. 3% on 1-Step.

Measured on equity, including open positions. The day starts at 00:00 server time. Server time is UTC. Your dashboard shows the time remaining until the next reset. On 2-Step the limit is 5% of your balance at that moment, and the floor for the day is that balance minus the limit. On 1-Step the limit is 3% of the higher of your balance and your equity at the start of the trading day, recalculated at every daily reset. If equity touches the floor at any point, the account is closed.

Worked example

Day opens at $100,000. The limit is $5,000 and the floor is $95,000. You are up $1,200 by noon, then a position runs to −$6,300 floating. Equity is $94,900 — the account is closed, even though nothing was realised. On a day that opens at $102,000 the limit is $5,100 and the floor is $96,900. On a $10,000 1-Step account that opens the day at $9,974.95, the limit is $299.25.

$100,000 DAY OPEN · 00:00 server time $95,000 DAILY FLOOR · −5% BREACH · $94,900 +$1,200
$100,000 $90,000 FLOOR · −10% · NEVER MOVES EQUITY $108,600

03 · Maximum loss

Static on 2-Step. Trailing on 1-Step.

2-Step: −10% static. The floor is fixed at 90% of the initial balance and never moves, however high your equity climbs.

1-Step: −6% trailing. The floor follows your highest equity, including open positions, at a 6% distance. It only ever moves up and never locks at the initial balance

Worked example · 1-Step

Equity peaks at $104,000: the floor is $97,760. Equity rises to $110,000: the floor is $103,400. If equity then falls to $103,400 the account fails — above its $100,000 starting size. The floor never stops trailing.

04 · News window

±5 minutes. A breach voids the trade.

Opening, closing, or executing an order — including a stop-loss, take-profit, or pending order — within five minutes either side of a high-impact release on our calendar is a breach. It applies regardless of when the position was opened. The trade is voided: any profit on it is removed from your results and any loss stays. Repeated breaches may be escalated and can lead to closure of the account.

Worked example

NFP at 12:30 UTC. Restricted window: 12:25–12:35. A stop-loss triggered at 12:31 on a position opened at 09:00 is a breach — the trade is voided: profit removed, loss kept. A new entry at 12:34 is another breach — also voided.

12:30 · RELEASE 12:25 12:35 OPEN 09:00 · OK SL HIT 12:31 · VOIDED NEW ENTRY 12:34 · VOIDED 12:40 · OK

05 · Performance target & trading days

Reach the target. Trade at least three days. No clock.

+10%

Phase 1 target

Closed and floating profit counted on equity at the end of the trading day.

+5%

Phase 2 target (2-Step only)

Same loss limits as Phase 1. Pass, and the funded account is issued within 48 hours.

3 days

Minimum trading days

A day counts only with a result of at least 0.5% of the day’s opening balance, by server time. Applies per phase.

None

Time limit

No deadline to reach the target. Accounts with no trades for 30 days are archived and can be reactivated from the dashboard.

A trading day is a calendar day by server time closed with a simulated result of at least 0.5% of the balance at the start of that day. A smaller, zero or negative result does not count. At least 3 trading days are required in each evaluation phase and 3 on the funded account before the first Reward. The target is met when the balance, with all positions closed, is at or above the account size plus the target.

06 · Allowed and prohibited

What you can do, and what closes the account.

Allowed

✓ Expert advisors, if declared in the dashboard before use (name and author). Purchased, rented, publicly distributed and copy-trading systems are prohibited. Source code may be requested as proof of ownership
✓ Holding positions over the weekend during evaluation phases
✓ Any instrument offered on Match-Trader or Platform 5
✓ Scalping, swing and intraday trading. A trade opened less than 60 seconds after the previous one, or closed less than 60 seconds after opening, is a technical breach: its positive result is voided, a negative result remains
✓ Leverage by asset class: Forex 1:100 · Metals 1:30 · Indices 1:50 · Crypto 1:10
✓ Unlimited calendar time to reach the target
✓ Funded accounts: all positions are closed automatically on Friday, at the time shown in your dashboard

Closes the account

✕ Repeated trading inside the ±5 minute news window (a single breach voids the trade)
✕ Touching the daily loss floor on equity at any moment
✕ Touching the maximum loss floor
✕ Copying other traders or signal services, group trading, or hedging across your own accounts. Mirroring your own trade in the same direction across your own accounts is allowed.
✕ Latency, arbitrage or gap-exploitation strategies
✕ Account sharing or trading on behalf of another person

07 · Payout rules

When you can request, and what can reduce it.

First request

14 days

After your first trade on the simulated funded account.

Cycle

Every 14 days

Or every 7 days with the Weekly Rewards add-on.

Review

≤ 24 hours

Compliance check against the rules on this page.

Processing

48–96 hours

After approval, in crypto or via Rise.

Share

80%

90% with the 90/10 add-on. Fee returned with your third payout.

Reward cap

5% / 8%

Your first Reward is capped at 5% of the account size, and every Reward after it at 8%. The cap applies to the amount you receive after your share. A Reward request covers your whole simulated result: anything above the cap is forfeited and not carried over to the next Reward.

08 · Account growth & caps

Quarterly review. $200,000 cap. Discretionary.

Review cadence

Once a quarter, on all funded accounts with a clean record, four paid rewards and a net-positive quarter.

Step sizes

×1.25, ×1.5, ×2 of the starting balance. A $25,000 account moves to $31,250, $37,500, then $50,000.

Allocation cap

$200,000 in total across all your funded accounts. Growth stops at the cap for everyone.

Discretion

An increase is a decision we make, not an entitlement. Meeting the conditions does not guarantee one.

You have read the rules.
